Istanbul Concept Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by internationally acclaimed painter, graphic artist and designer Martin R. Baeyens. The exhibition will open on Thursday, 21 August 2025, and will remain on view until 31 August 2025.
With 130 solo exhibitions, participation in 1,298 group shows worldwide, and 213 international awards, Baeyens holds a distinguished position in the field of graphic arts. Particularly recognized in the world of Ex Libris, he has created 986 works to date, most of them realized in silkscreen and computer-generated design (CGD).
Nature lies at the core of his practice. By incorporating electronic circuit boards into his work, Baeyens explores the tension and balance between nature and technology. His compositions are built upon intricate networks of lines, reflecting a visual language that resonates across geographies while engaging with local cultural values in Turkey.
For over 40 years, Baeyens has been Professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at the Frans Masereel Centre for Graphics in Belgium, Texas Tech University in Lubbock (USA), and several universities in Turkey and Northern Cyprus.
This exhibition offers a comprehensive view into Baeyens’ unique graphic language, inviting audiences in Istanbul to experience the artist’s vision shaped by decades of research and experimentation.
