Stalker

Between November 10th and December 17th, 2022, a group exhibition named "Stalker" will be presented to art enthusiasts at Pera Palace Hotel in collaboration with Istanbul Concept Gallery. Featuring a selection of works by Ahmet Umur Deniz, Sema Maşkılı, and Coşkun Sami. The three painters, who focus on different tendencies, share a common feature in their works, which is to emphasize subjective quests.

Ahmet Umur Deniz, who is one of the leading representatives of figurative painting in Turkey and a faculty member at the Mimar Sinan University Department of Painting, creates dynamism, plastic contrasts, and the synthesis of rationality and emotion with the power of structured form and composition in his paintings.

Sema Maşkılı, who graduated from the Mimar Sinan University Department of Painting, examines the effects of elements such as violence, aggression, and power on individuals and society in her works, interpreting ethical values, societal norms, and existential anxieties through the "body."

Coşkun Sami, also a graduate of the Mimar Sinan University Department of Painting, incorporates architectural and historical references into his paintings. His minimal palette, which supports the formation process that is mainly focused on drawing, reveals an effort towards visual and formal values.
