Doug Russell

Working within the tradition of architectural capriccio, Doug Russell constructs imagined realities shaped by his fascination with architectural forms and organic structures. His drawings and layered works bring together ruins, landscapes, and suburban houses, exploring the cycles of human construction, decay, and transformation. Inspired by years of living and traveling in places such as Turkey, Cambodia, Bali, and Indonesia, Russell combines fragments of history and memory into improvised narratives where human intention meets nature’s resilience.
